The Ligno-Scanner SDM has 2 independent sets of calibrations one for measuring depths of 1/4″ and 3/4″. Dual-depth settings are for different thickness wood species, drywall, reference scales for concrete and other building materials. For bamboo calibration settings use measuring depth of 1/4″.
